“The American Clean Energy and Security Act” passes the House in less time then it takes to plan a BBQ
The American Clean Energy and Security Act is far reaching piece of legislation which will enable the federal governement to tax any segment of our economy and lives based on the “carbon footprint”. Beef, Toys, and even BBQ-ing fall within the language of this bill.
In basic democratic principle this bill should have failed. To enter a 1600 page bill, have only 24 hours to review it, and only one copy of a 300 page addendum to be shared between the over 400 Representatives, for this to actually pass is atrocious.
I am certain that not a single member of congress would enter into a Home Mortgage that quickly and to “fast track” far reaching legislation is a disservice to the American people.
